EDUCATION, EDUCATION,& MORE EDUCATION
SCHOOL DROPOUT INTERVENTION

We as citizens of the United States of America, must answer the call to this epidemic that has hit our children.
Unless we as responsible adults use our power and resources as one, the high school drop out rate will only get much worse. As a former high school dropout, I know first hand of the unforeseen struggles that come without a proper education. For the past 25 years since dropping out of school, my life has been up and down. I was on drugs and alcohol, I've held many jobs and even became an ex-offender. I was one of the blessed and fortunate ones and I have made a commitment to fight to keep as many youths out of the trials of darkness as I can. My life is under orders to reach out to as many at-risk students to divinely convince them to remain in school or
return to school because education, education and more education is the cornerstone of our society which brings a form of freedom.
Things You Should Know:
1. Dropping out of school increases your chance of depending on Food
stamps, welfare check, odd jobs and drugs & alcohol.
2. School dropouts can never live a life of true freedom because when you depend
on other people to feed and house you, you live in bondage to them.
3. Dropping out of school increase your chances that you will never complete
things that are positive to help you live a more complete life.
MENTOR SHIP FOR YOUTH

At-risk students need a positive mentor to help them in and through difficult times, and especially in their informal years.
High School dropouts are statistically more likely to become teen parents and single parents, commit crimes, have physical and emotional health problems, become disabled, be unmarried, and rely on government social services such as food stamps, Medicaid, and unemployment. They are likely to have chronic employment problems their entire life.
Things You Should Know:
1. Having a mentor will reprogram you from thinking you are disadvantage so that
you may increase your chances on living a good life and having a good career.
2. Mentor ship increases your boldness to fight the stress of reprogramming your
mind from negative thinking to positive thinking.
YOUTH PRISON INTERVENTION

Youth end up in prison because they have received negative influence. When you are raised in the inner city you don't have doctors, lawyers, judges, or bankers as everyday role models. You have drug dealers, violent gangsters, and pimps to look up to. Youth are easily influenced by anyone giving them attention, whether its positive or negative, they embrace it especially when
family seems not to be enough. We must reach out to send a positive message that youth going to prison is crippling our future. We must go beyond to fight to educate them and show them love in order for them to escape prison. They must be taught and believe that there is a better way.
Things You Should Know:
1. Respecting all authority is the major key to staying out of prison.
2. Taking positive risk is very important such as staying in school to become
educated and being trained in a career oriented vocation.
3. Finding your Higher Power for direction will help you with balance in life when
dealing a a society that sometimes will not give respect or recognition back to you
even if you do deserve it.
