A little about me...
Welcome - I have worked as an illustrator and equine/wildlife artist over the last 40 years. Horses, wildlife, and the love of nature have been my main sources of inspiration. Much of my earlier career was centered in medical and scientific illustration and I worked as a private contractor for the USDA and private companies illustrating for various scientific/medical and commercial communities in the Midwest and West coast. Equine and wildlife art always remained my passion and in the forefront of my work. I strive to capture the very essence and personality of the animals I portray in my pieces. Over the years I have successfully shown award winning original works and produced limited editions as well as continue to take on private commissions. My current mediums of choice are color pencil and graphite. Recently, I've been incorporating my love of horses, wildlife, and nature into the children book realm with my first completed animal counting book, "Stella’s Parade". Inspired by my granddaughter and her wondrous imagination, this work marks the beginning of a journey for me into the realm of writing and illustrating children books - A new series of whimsical adventures is on the horizon featuring Stella and her 'partner in crime', a French bulldog, Nelly!
